Fink's Comments (rates this release 5.0/5.0)
Iíll leave it to 4DF themselves to sum this release up: ďThere are many versions of this recording circulating, but somehow all of them offer a somewhat underachieved final result. Because the actual potential of the source was truly enormous, we decided to give it our try. We considered several sources, including a raw tape submitted by a fellow fan, and concluded that the best one to rework was Moonraker's Wonderboy except for the final cut It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night - which was taken from the slightly disappointing Sign O The Times Live by Sabotage.

On the other hand, the source is incomplete. According to the usual and rarely modified SOTT Tour setlist, If I Was Your Girlfriend, Forever In My Life and Kiss must have been played. The actual performance of It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night from that very night is missing as well. Traditionally, that void was filled with the superb rendition played in Utrecht later that month (on the 22nd) which is once more the one we used as it matched the sound quality of the main portion of the show. We tried to bring the best out of the sources used and we can honestly consider this one as THE soundboard recording of one of the best and most beloved tours Prince has ever undertaken.Ē

And I canít really argue with that. Itís exactly as they say, it sounds wonderful and is just a brilliant show as well. A must have.
