A good idea poorly executed. There's too much talking and not enough music, and while that might accurately reflect how some of these soundchecks went it doesn't make for particularly interesting listening, especially on a repeated basis. A case in point - the bible discussion on the second disc lasts for almost half an hour! Far too long anyway, but it's made even worse by the fact that the volume is so low that parts are almost inaudible. If one disregards the excessive talking then this is a pretty good set, and it would have made a great single disc. The final track of the second disc is a showcase for a NPGMC member who lends his guitar and vocals to 'I could never take the place of your man'.
